KuPS made a huge signing
KuPS signed Ghanaian defender Kasim Adams on a two-year deal, bringing significant experience to the team.
Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) has announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Kasim Adams to a two-year contract. The 30-year-old brings substantial experience to the Kuopio-based team, having played in the Bundesliga for Hoffenheim and Fortuna Düsseldorf between 2018 and 2023, where he accumulated a total of 42 appearances. However, there is some concern about his match fitness, as his last competitive game was in May 2025 while representing Swiss top-tier team Servette.
Adams is expected to be a key asset for KuPS, providing not only defensive skills but also the ability to initiate play with quality passing, both short and long. His physical presence and aerial ability will enhance the team's defensive capabilities, particularly in set-piece situations. Furthermore, KuPS's sporting director Sixten Boström commented on Adams’s leadership qualities, which will be invaluable in solidifying the defense and boosting team morale.
The signing reflects KuPS's ambition in the Finnish league and their intent to strengthen their squad with experienced players. Adams expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received upon arriving in Finland, indicating his eagerness to integrate into the team and contribute to their success in the upcoming season.
