In the previous recruitment cycle in 2019, 22,644 candidates applied, showcasing the high level of competition associated with EU jobs. However, projections for the upcoming 2026 recruitment indicate a substantial increase in applicant numbers, estimated between 50,000 and 60,000 candidates. This dramatic rise, over 150%, is attributed to the long gap since the last competition and a surge in interest among graduates eager to pursue careers in European institutions.
Successful candidates will not only benefit from a competitive initial salary of approximately 6,150 euros gross per month but also from additional perks such as a 16% expatriation allowance, European health coverage, and potential salary progression reaching up to 21,000 euros.
