According to Sergeant Frederico Santos de Jesus from the Fire Department, both victims were seated together when a tree branch pierced the bus's body, striking them both. One was a woman with head injuries, while the other was a man with chest injuries. Tragically, they did not survive and died at the scene.
The victims have been identified as 60-year-old Evirânio Gonçalves da Silva and 77-year-old Maria Zinete de Jesus. Reports indicate that the bus was traveling when it overturned, resulting in this tragic incident. Preliminary investigations suggest environmental factors, like the tree branch falling, may have contributed to the severity of the accident.
