Abu Dhabi announced that dozens of Iranian missiles and drones were launched towards the UAE

The UAE's Defense Ministry reports that it intercepted several ballistic missiles and UAVs launched from Iran, with some missiles landing in the sea and one UAV originating within the UAE territory.

The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates announced that today, it detected 15 ballistic missiles and 18 UAVs launched from Iran. Out of the missiles detected, 12 were destroyed, three fell into the sea, and 17 UAVs were intercepted, with one crashing on the UAE's land. Fortunately, there were no new casualties reported after these interceptions.

In the context of escalating tensions in the Gulf, particularly following the ongoing US-Israel bombing campaign against Iran, the UAE authorities indicated that they have been closely monitoring Iranian retaliatory attacks. Since these actions began, the UAE has reported a total of 253 ballistic missiles detected from Iran, with a significant number destroyed or falling into the sea. Additionally, 1,440 Iranian UAVs have been noted, highlighting a strong persistent threat from Iranian aerial capabilities.

The recent wave of attacks has had a dangerous human cost, resulting in the deaths of four foreign nationals within UAE territory, hailing from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. These developments underline the regional instability caused by the ongoing conflict and could signal an increased urgency for defense strategies among Gulf states, as Iran continues its military activities amid international tensions.
