Anni Ihamäki's second cabin is now being renovated on TV: This is what the result looks like
Anni Ihamäki's second cabin is undergoing renovation on television with the help of designer Seija Strand and contractor Vilja Schepel.
Anni Ihamäki, previously the host of 'Huvilaa & huussia', is now featured as a client on the competing channel MTV3's 'Kotoisa'. This year, she is turning her attention to another cabin that has been abandoned for many years and that she considers a 'rescue project'. With the assistance of designer Seija Strand and contractor Vilja Schepel, Ihamäki hopes to unlock the potential of the dilapidated building, which is believed to date back to the 1950s.
The cabin is located near another cabin of Ihamäki's that was renovated in 2019. The extensive renovation planned by Strand and Schepel will not start from scratch as Ihamäki has already cleared the space of its previous contents. The cabin, once a place for leisure, has been left to deteriorate, with swimming trunks last hung out to dry likely in the 1990s. This project is expected to showcase the process of reviving the structure and its potential for modern use.
As the show progresses, viewers will likely see not only the physical transformation of the cabin but also insights into maintaining and revitalizing older structures. This endeavor reflects a broader interest in home renovation and restoration in Finland, particularly as more homeowners seek to revive forgotten properties for personal enjoyment or as investment opportunities.
