70% of Employees Want to Recommend their Workplace: Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Implements New Target
Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank aims to have over 70% of its employees willing to recommend their workplace to friends as part of a new medium-term management plan.
Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank has set an ambitious target in its medium-term management plan to ensure that over 70% of its employees would recommend their workplace to friends. This is part of a greater initiative to enhance employee satisfaction and workplace culture, which has seen the implementation of an employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) system. Through regular surveys, the bank aims to measure the willingness of employees to endorse their workplace, increasing from the current score, which had dropped to the 50% range in fiscal year 2022.
The initiative was introduced following a decline in employee sentiment, which the bank attributes to the need for a positive work environment and better internal communication. The president of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust, Hiroshi Kubota, emphasized that an increase in the eNPS could correlate with improved work quality and enhanced communication within the company. Goals have been set to achieve robust employee endorsement by fiscal year 2026, encouraging management to engage with and evaluate their performance based on feedback from their teams.
This structured approach not only seeks to improve employee morale but also aims to cultivate a more cohesive office culture. By actively involving employees in assessing their workplace, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust is taking significant steps towards understanding and addressing workplace dynamics, which is crucial for its long-term success and competitiveness in the banking sector.
