The Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro (TRE-RJ) has announced important changes for voters in Itaperuna concerning their polling locations in preparation for the 2026 elections. Several electoral sections that previously operated in schools and health units are being relocated to different addresses to improve accessibility and efficiency. Voters are urged to check their new polling places to ensure a smooth voting process on election day.

Specific examples include the transfer of electoral sections 275 and 286 that were located in the Health Post of Vila Mangueira, which will now convene at the Municipal College Antônio Curty in the Barro Branco neighborhood. Additionally, electoral sections 161, 174, and 199 that were managed at the Municipal School Oscar Jerônimo will now be serving voters from the Municipal School Coronel José Cardoso instead. This restructuring aims to optimize the voting experience and accommodate the growing population.

In the Raposo district, sections that were previously hosted at the State College Dr. José Bastos França will be relocated to the Municipal College Santa Paz.
