Panathinaikos' Easy Win in Livadia
Panathinaikos secured a dominant 4-1 victory against Levadeiakos, solidifying their position in the mini league for this season's championship.
In a decisive match for the fourth place in this year's league, Panathinaikos comfortably defeated Levadeiakos with a score of 4-1 in Viotia, extending their lead to six points and ensuring their entry into the mini league. Initially, Levadeiakos demonstrated good form, threatening the Panathinaikos goal with several attempts from players like Baltsios, Pedroso, and Magnusson; however, the visitors showcased their goal-scoring efficiency.
The first half saw Panathinaikos take the lead at the 37-minute mark when Hernan opened the scoring following a cross from Tamborda. As the first half concluded, Tetteh earned a penalty that Bakasetas converted, pushing the score to 2-0. The beginning of the second half was equally promising for the Athens side, as they scored their third goal within five minutes, with Tetteh assisting Kontouri who sealed it with a powerful shot.
Levadeiakos attempted a comeback in the 59th minute with a chance from Magnusson, but a remarkable save from Lafon thwarted their efforts. They eventually managed to score in the 61st minute when Pedroso found the net with a header after a cross from Vihos, but it was insufficient as Panathinaikos maintained a strong grip on the game, firmly establishing their place in the ongoing championship race.
