A young tourist in India was the victim of an attempted rape by her taxi driver while traveling to Nainital, forcing her to flee into the jungle for safety.
A distressing incident has emerged involving a 31-year-old woman traveling from Delhi to Nainital, who was targeted by her taxi driver in a violent attempted rape. The incident occurred near Baldiyakhan, approximately ten kilometers from Nainital, during a nighttime journey when the driver attacked her after she resisted his advances. He brutally assaulted her and fled the scene with her belongings, including her mobile phone.
In a desperate attempt to escape, the terrified woman ran into the jungle, where she managed to evade her assailant. For the remainder of the night, she hid in a culvert beside the road, fearing for her life. When dawn broke, she bravely walked from Ardukhan to Baldiyakhan, informing local village head Dr. Babita Manral about her ordeal, which led to the police being notified.
Upon receiving the report, the Tallital police promptly arrived at the scene, ensuring the woman's safety and providing her with medical assistance. They took her under their protection and began to gather details about the horrific event to take further action against the assailant, who remains at large.
