Six injured, including three children, by Russian guided aerial bomb strike on centre of Kramatorsk
Six people, including three children, were injured in a Russian aerial bomb strike on Kramatorsk.
On the night of March 6-7, a Russian guided aerial bomb strike targeted the center of Kramatorsk, leaving at least six individuals injured, among whom were three children. Local authorities reported the injuries included a teenager and two young children aged 16, 12, and 2 years old. The attack occurred around 03:40 and involved a significant 500-kg bomb, resulting in considerable damage to the surrounding area.
The strike caused substantial destruction, impacting 12 apartment buildings, 5 administrative buildings, and damaging 22 vehicles. The local response highlighted not only the immediate injuries but also the ongoing threats faced by civilians in the conflict-affected zone of Donetsk Oblast. The Oblast Military Administration noted that this incident followed another tragic day, where one person was killed in Kramatorsk and several others were injured across the region from a series of attacks on March 6.
This incident underscores the continued risk to civilian life in eastern Ukraine, where hostilities have led to frequent strikes in urban areas. The injury of children, in particular, raises concerns about the impact of warfare on the most vulnerable populations. As the conflict persists, the international community remains attentive to civilian casualties and seeks measures to protect non-combatants in conflict zones.
