The Irrigation Club is hosting its second annual meeting in conjunction with Expoagro on March 11, aiming to bring together producers and technical experts to discuss irrigation's role in adapting to increasingly challenging climate scenarios. The event will take place at the Anfiteatro ArgenINTA in San Nicolás, highlighting the theme "In uncertain climates, strategic decisions." Moderated by agronomist Aquiles Salinas, the meeting serves as a platform for producers considering the adoption of irrigation as a critical tool for stabilizing their farming systems. Currently, Argentina irrigates approximately 2.5 million hectares of land, though studies suggest the country has the potential to irrigate between 8 and 10 million hectares. This gap signifies a significant opportunity for enhancing agricultural productivity through improved irrigation practices. Salinas emphasized that the Irrigation Club aims to advance this technology and strategies in line with current climatic challenges, facilitating discussions to optimize water usage and agricultural outputs.
