Lucas Schwach Schupp, a young man who had been missing since March 3 after leaving home for college, was found alive by the Civil Police in Fortaleza on March 6. His mother confirmed to g1 that he was located and subsequently taken to a hospital for medical examinations, where he was reported to be unharmed.
On the day he went missing, Lucas left his home in the Jangurussu neighborhood, notifying his family of his intentions to attend college. The last message his family received from him was sent at 6 PM that day. Following his disappearance, the family reported it to the authorities, prompting the police to launch a search for the young man.
After three days of searching, the Delegacia de Pessoas Desaparecidas, part of the Department of Homicides and Protection to Persons, successfully located Lucas in the same neighborhood from which he went missing. He has since been reunited with his family, raising concerns about the safety of young people in urban areas and the importance of swift community and police action in locating missing persons.
