Norsk Tipping Mess: - Sorry

Norwegian bettors faced nearly two-hour delays in Eurojackpot results due to a delay in the Netherlands, with Norsk Tipping apologizing for the inconvenience.

Norsk Tipping, the Norwegian lottery operator, faced significant delays on Friday evening when the results of the Eurojackpot were postponed by almost two hours. According to Steinar Bjørnsson, the drawing editor for Norsk Tipping, the delays were caused by issues in the Netherlands. He emphasized that they preferred not to release the results until they had all the necessary numbers, which added to the frustration of bettors who were waiting for the outcome.

Many frustrated users contacted VG regarding the delays, to which Bjørnsson expressed sincere apologies while asserting that the fault did not lie with Norsk Tipping. The incident has raised concerns among Norwegian bettors, particularly given the operator's recent history of issues, including previous management controversies and group lawsuits that stemmed from operational mishaps.

Despite the chaos surrounding the Eurojackpot results, a man from Nes in Akershus won a national prize of one million kroner. However, no one matched the winning combinations of 5+2 or 5+1, which means the jackpot is set to grow to approximately 167 million kroner for the upcoming draw on Tuesday. This situation casts a spotlight on Norsk Tipping as they navigate these challenges while maintaining public trust and operational integrity in their lottery services.
