Photos showing ex-banker Daniel Vorcaro after his arrest during the third phase of Operation Compliance Zero have surfaced, depicting him in custody.

The Folha news outlet has obtained images of Daniel Vorcaro, the former owner of Banco Master, taken after his arrest in São Paulo as part of the third phase of Operation Compliance Zero. Vorcaro, who was taken into custody on Wednesday, has since been held at the CDP 2 (Centro de Detenção Provisória) in Guarulhos, before being transferred to a prison in Potim, located in the interior of São Paulo. The leaked photos reveal him in prison attire, with a cleanly shorn head and beard, appearing as a typical detainee in the state's correctional facilities.

As of Friday, Vorcaro is set to be transferred to a federal penitentiary in Brasília, where he will share the facility with notorious gang leaders including Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, known as Marcola, the head of the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital), and his alleged successor, Marcos Roberto de Almeida. Further adding to the high-profile nature of the facility, Nicola Assisi, a member of the Italian mafia 'Ndrangheta, is also incarcerated there. This situation underscores the serious allegations against Vorcaro, who is accused of operating a private militia intended to intimidate and coerce others.

Vorcaro's arrest is part of a broader crackdown on organized crime and corruption in Brazil, highlighting a significant effort by law enforcement to dismantle criminal networks that threaten public order and safety. The implications of his connections to organized crime, particularly with the involvement of prominent figures in the PCC and mafia, signal ongoing challenges for law enforcement in addressing the intertwining of financial corruption and violent crime in the country.
