The incident took place on the night of Thursday, September 5, and the local Military Police confirmed the details. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene and was later found in the rural area near the border with Ceará, indicating he may have planned to leave the state.
The police received crucial support from sub-lieutenant Jair of the Triunfo Military Police, who reported that after his arrest, the suspect attempted to escape through a door in the house where he was located but was apprehended by officers. Alongside him, the police seized a weapon and a sum of money. The suspect has been taken to the Cajazeiras Civil Police Station and is currently awaiting a custody hearing.
Meanwhile, the victim, the brother of the suspect, was transported to the Hospital of Triunfo for medical treatment. As of now, there is no information regarding his current health status.
