A 31-year-old man has been arrested in Macapá for car theft and a traffic homicide.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, the 5th, in Macapá, Brazil, after being sentenced for aggravated robbery and traffic homicide. The arrest was made by the Capture Unit in the Beirol neighborhood of southern Macapá. The robbery case dates back to April 2018 when the suspect, along with three armed accomplices, carjacked a victim outside their home. Following the incident, the stolen vehicle was recovered two days later and returned to the owner, while the perpetrators were identified and brought to justice. One of the suspects died during the judicial process, and the convicted man now faces a prison sentence of 6 years and 2 months.
