Suspect of robbery dies after confrontation with the police in Macapá
A robbery suspect was killed in a confrontation with the police in Macapá following a bar robbery with another accomplice.
A man was shot and killed after a confrontation with the Military Police on the afternoon of Monday the 23rd in the southern zone of Macapá. The individual, along with another suspect, reportedly participated in the robbery of a bar located on Ramal União in the Fazendinha neighborhood. According to police reports, the suspects arrived at the establishment armed and on bicycles, stealing personal belongings from the victims while they were identified by their clothing, one in a Brazilian national team shirt and the other in a white shirt.
Following the robbery, the Military Police were alerted, and a team from Rotam was dispatched around 3:30 PM to start searching the area for the suspects. This operation included the 1st Battalion and Tactical Forces, who joined efforts to locate the individuals responsible for the crime. The police were able to track down the two armed men, who fled into a densely forested area, making the pursuit more challenging for the responding officers.
After several hours of securing the area and searching, the police managed to locate the suspects.
