Guri Solberg, a communications advisor at UD, pointed out that Iran's airspace has been closed and all flights have been canceled, creating significant challenges for those wishing to exit the country. The Foreign Ministry has urged all residents in Iran to consider their safety seriously and to heed advice from reliable local sources during this tumultuous period.

Since January 14, the UD has strongly advised against all travel to Iran, emphasizing the precarious situation due to extensive Israeli and American bombings. They are recommending that Norwegians currently in Iran leave as soon as possible, given the instability of internet and phone services, which impedes communication and updates. Solberg's comments indicate a concerning atmosphere for foreign nationals, where road travel is deemed very risky due to the conflicts surrounding them.

To assist Norwegian citizens, the Foreign Ministry has established crisis teams in Dubai and Muscat, Oman, to aid those on the ground. The government's proactive measures reflect the urgency of the situation, as seen in the ongoing efforts to evacuate foreign nationals, including a recent attempt to help French citizens amidst the crisis.
