The body of Gisele Alves Santana, a 32-year-old soldier in the Military Police, was exhumed on Friday morning for a new investigation into her suspicious death. She was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head in her apartment in São Paulo, where she lived with her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto. This action was authorized by the São Paulo court following requests from the Civil Police and the Public Ministry, who are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

The exhumation took place at the Colina dos Ipês Cemetery in Suzano, Greater São Paulo, conducted by the Medicolegal Institute and forensic experts.
