MPF recommends the installation of a meter to assess the quality of the internet in schools in Açailândia, MA
The MPF has urged the local government of Açailândia to install a software tool designed to assess internet quality in public schools.
The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) has identified significant issues with internet connectivity in public schools located in the municipality of Açailândia, Maranhão. As part of its Programa Ministério Público pela Educação (MPEduc), the MPF made formal recommendations to both the municipal government and the Secretary of Education to install the 'Medidor Educação Conectada' within 60 days in all schools that are connected to the Internet. This tool, created collaboratively by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Institute of Information and Communication Technology (NIC.br), is a free software that functions autonomously to monitor internet speed, latency, and quality without user interference.
