This is the only chance for PiS to take power. Will Jarosław Kaczyński bend?

Recent polling indicates that if parliamentary elections were to be held this weekend, the Civic Coalition would win, with PiS trailing behind despite a slight increase in support.

Recent polling results reveal that the Civic Coalition (KO) would secure 30.6% of the votes if parliamentary elections were held this weekend, marking a modest decline of 0.1 percentage points since the last survey. This positioning keeps them in the lead, raising questions about the future of the ruling Law and Justice party (PiS), which has seen a two-point percentage increase in support, reaching 23.5%. Lastly, the Confederation would come in third with 12.2%, experiencing a minor setback in their support compared to prior polls.

In addition to these leading parties, other political factions have shown varying degrees of support. The Confederation Korony Polskiej, led by Grzegorz Braun, has seen a decrease from double digits to 8.4%, pushing them outside of the immediate seat-winning projections. The Left (Lewica) maintains a presence with 7.7% support, which represents a slight improvement. Meanwhile, the Razem party struggles at 4.2%, staying below the electoral threshold, while PSL faces a decline to 3.8%, with neither party positioned to enter the Sejm.

This situation puts pressure on PiS and its leader Jarosław Kaczyński, prompting speculation about the steps they may take to reclaim a stronger standing in the polls. As the Civic Coalition maintains its lead with decreasing but still substantial support, Kaczyński's decisions in the coming days could significantly influence party dynamics ahead of the elections, making this a crucial period for his political strategy and the future of the ruling party in Poland.
