IF Sertão PE opens selection for club that offers conversation in English, Spanish, and French

IF Sertão PE is launching a language club that will provide conversational practice in English, Spanish, and French for students and community members.

The IFSertãoPE Campus Petrolina Zona Rural has opened registrations for its Poliglota Club, which aims to enhance language skills in English, Spanish, and French. The program offers 90 spots equally divided among the three languages, catering to both internal students and the external community. To qualify for participation, applicants must be at least 15 years old and either currently enrolled in or have completed high school, in addition to possessing basic knowledge of the chosen language.

The selection process involves the first 50 registered participants for each language making a one-minute introductory video, which will serve as a classification criterion. The club's meetings will be conducted remotely via Google Meet, emphasizing conversational practice on topics like movies, music, and travel to provide a dynamic and engaging learning experience. English and Spanish sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays starting March 31, while French classes will begin on Thursdays from April 2.

The program reflects an effort to promote multilingualism and cultural exchange within the region, offering participants an opportunity to improve their language abilities in a supportive environment. With its accessible criteria and engaging format, the Poliglota Club is positioned to meet the needs of local youth eager to enhance their language skills for personal or professional development, thereby fostering greater community integration and communication.
