This is Apple's new laptop – The cheapest in its history
Apple has introduced a new, more affordable laptop model called Macbook Neo, aimed primarily at school students and casual users.
On Wednesday afternoon Finnish time, Apple continued its product announcements by unveiling the Macbook Neo, a new model that has been circulating in rumors and is positioned as a significantly cheaper alternative to other Macbooks. The Neo is specifically designed to cater to budget-conscious consumers, such as students, with its starting price aimed at making it accessible for everyday use.
The design of the Macbook Neo closely resembles the existing Macbook Air and Macbook Pro models but will be available in brighter, more vibrant color options. One notable design difference is that the Neo features wider bezels around its 13-inch display compared to the 13.6-inch Macbook Air. Additionally, the front camera of the Neo is cleverly concealed within the frame, contrasting with the Macbook Air's notch at the top of the screen that houses the camera.
Under the hood, the Neo is powered by Apple's A18 Pro chip, which is also found in the iPhone 16 Pro. However, the Neo's graphics processor is a five-core variant, while the iPhone's version boasts a six-core processor. This new laptop seems to enhance Apple's offerings in the educational market, providing a cost-effective yet capable device for students and general users looking for a reliable machine without breaking the bank.
