A more convenient way for Alytiškiai to pay for services

Residents of Alytus can now make online payments for various services through the new 'Mano Alytaus' self-service platform.

The city of Alytus, Lithuania, has introduced a user-friendly online payment system named 'Mano Alytaus', aimed at enhancing customer service for residents. This initiative was launched in April of the previous year by Kristina Pivarauskienė, the commercial director of 'Alytaus šilumos tinklai'. The new platform allows users to not only pay for heating, water, and waste management services but also to settle accounts for other utilities such as internet and phone services, providing a centralized service option for residents.

Kristina emphasizes that the introduction of this self-service platform was a natural step towards maintaining high-quality customer service. The company had earlier established a unified customer service center in early 2022 to serve all essential service needs in one location, where staff from various municipal services assisted residents. Due to positive feedback from users, the initiative expanded into the online domain, making it feasible for locals to manage various bill payments in one place, improving accessibility and efficiency.

The reaction from the Alytus community has been overwhelmingly positive, underscoring the program's effectiveness in addressing the needs of residents who are now able to handle their financial responsibilities online. This digital payment advancement not only simplifies the payment process but also represents a significant step towards modernizing municipal services in Alytus, setting an example for other cities in Lithuania to follow in leveraging technology for improved public service delivery.
