TITAN: Acquisition of Traçim Cement in Turkey
Titan SA has successfully acquired 100% of Traçim Çimento in Turkey, enhancing its production capacity significantly and aligning with its strategic growth plans.
Titan SA has announced the completion of its acquisition of 100% of Traçim Çimento, a notable company in the Turkish cement industry, particularly in the greater Istanbul area. This acquisition follows the receipt of all required regulatory approvals and marks a significant strategic move for Titan, as the region is one of the most vibrant markets for cement production in Turkey. The acquisition signifies Titan's ambition to strengthen its foothold in a rapidly expanding market.
The acquisition includes a state-of-the-art cement plant that boasts an annual production capacity of approximately 2.5 million tons. This facility is not only set to cater to the burgeoning local demand but also holds the potential to export cement to neighboring countries and even the United States, thereby broadening Titan's market reach. Furthermore, Traçim has been granted a license to establish a second production line, adding an additional 2.5 million tons of capacity, which would make it the largest cement production unit within the Titan Group.
This strategic acquisition is a key component of Titan's Forward 2029 strategy, which aims for enhanced performance through marked growth and targeted acquisitions. This approach focuses on optimizing geographical presence and increasing production capabilities to respond effectively to market opportunities. Through this investment, Titan demonstrates its commitment to bolstering its operational strength in a competitive market, aligning with its long-term strategic goals.
