Bus for train Oslo S – Ås/Rakkestad
Bane Nor is conducting planned work affecting train services on the Oslo S–Ås/Rakkestad line from March 6 to March 8, 2023, requiring bus replacements for passengers.
Bane Nor has announced that there will be planned work on the Oslo S–Ås/Rakkestad railway line, starting from 2 AM on March 6 until 2 AM on March 8, 2023. During this period, train services will be replaced by bus services, as stated by Jorunn Wold, a press representative from Vy. The disruptions are part of maintenance activities aimed at ensuring safe and efficient rail travel in the future.
Passengers traveling to and from stations including Nordstrand, Ljan, Hauketo, Holmlia, Rosenholm, Kolbotn, Solbråtan, and Myrvoll will need to rely on Ruter's bus services. Additionally, some passengers from Vestby may also face disruptions as trains from Gothenburg and Halden that typically arrive at Oslo S will now turn around in Vestby due to the inability to reverse in Ås. These passengers have the option to wait for another train to Ås or to take the bus from Vestby.
Information regarding schedules and stops is available through the Vy app and on their website. Furthermore, further disruptions are expected on the Skien-Porsgrunn line from 11:55 PM on Friday until 2 AM on March 9, also requiring bus replacements for train services. This maintenance work indicates an ongoing commitment to improving Norway's rail infrastructure despite the inconveniences for travelers during these periods.
