The fate of TBS now largely hinges on who will secure the mayor’s office and how the city council will be structured, as significant financial backing is necessary for its operations. Former Seongdong District Mayor Jeong Won-oh, one of the candidates, emphasized the need for a designated broadcasting service for disaster management and transportation information during a recent interview, indicating a plan to use city funds to restore critical functions first before addressing other operational aspects of TBS.
