Kang Hoon-sik announced that a passenger aircraft carrying South Korean citizens from the UAE is expected to land in Incheon at 7:30 PM, following the resumption of airline operations and an emergency oil import plan from the UAE.

On the 6th of the month, Kang Hoon-sik, the Chief of Staff, revealed in a briefing that a large passenger plane from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrying South Korean nationals is scheduled to land at Incheon Airport at 7:30 PM. This announcement comes in light of the recent discussions with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi, regarding the safe return of South Korean citizens and the resumption of commercial flights between the two countries. The Korean government has been working closely with the UAE to ensure the safe return of its citizens, estimated to be around 18,000 currently residing across 14 Middle Eastern countries, 4,900 of whom are short-term visitors.
