'Hanging House' Controversy: Kejriwal to Appear Before Assembly Committee Today

Delhi's former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to present his side on the 'Hanging House' controversy before the Delhi Assembly's Privileges Committee today.

Delhi's former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal will appear before the Delhi Assembly's Privileges Committee to address the 'Hanging House' controversy, a dispute originally arising in 2022 over renovations in the assembly complex. Kejriwal informed the committee chairman of his attendance through a letter and has also requested a live stream of the proceedings. The issue revolves around the AAP government's claim that part of the assembly complex, identified as a 'Hanging House', holds historical significance dating back to colonial times, while the opposition BJP contests this description, asserting that it is merely a standard tiffin room.
