Did Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra go to jail... Aren't you ashamed? Why Kejriwal got angry at Congress
Arvind Kejriwal criticized Congress for questioning the Aam Aadmi Party's legal victories while highlighting the absence of prominent Congress leaders from jail.
Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia were discharged from the Delhi excise policy case by the Rouse Avenue Court, which rebuked the CBI for failing to provide credible evidence to support their charges. Following this ruling, the CBI has approached the Delhi High Court. In celebration of this legal victory, Kejriwal and other party leaders held a victory parade.
During a press conference after the court's decision, Kejriwal vehemently criticized the BJP, responding to questions regarding Congress's claim that the BJP had facilitated their discharge to harm Congress's interests. He used his platform to question the integrity of Congress leaders, challenging them on why they have not faced similar legal troubles as AAP members. He pointedly asked if other prominent figures like Robert Vadra or Rahul Gandhi had ever been jailed, implying that Congress should not claim moral high ground.
Kejriwal's remarks underscore a broader political confrontation between AAP and Congress, in which Kejriwal's accusation highlights the distinction of accountability in political corruption. His challenge to the Congress to face elections further emphasizes the ongoing tension in Delhi's political landscape, signaling that AAP is positioning itself as a more reliable alternative to both Congress and BJP amid allegations of misgovernance and corruption.
