Zapping and Liga Ecuabet are now available in Spain

The Zapping platform, which broadcasts Ecuadorian football matches, has launched in Spain, allowing Ecuadorians in Europe to follow their teams.

The Zapping platform, responsible for broadcasting Ecuador's football championship, officially launched in Spain on Thursday, March 5, according to Liga Profesional de Fútbol de Ecuador president Miguel Ángel Loor. This expansion allows Ecuadorians living in Spain to keep up with their teams and watch all Liga Ecuabet matches. The introduction comes after Zapping's earlier success in the United States, signifying a growing international presence for Ecuadorian football.

Zapping has become the exclusive platform to transmit the Ecuadorian football championship since 2026, and the production of the tournament has been transferred to ShowTime, a division of Liga Pro. The move to launch in Spain is part of a broader strategy to enhance accessibility for Ecuadorian football fans living abroad. Loor emphasized the hard work that went into this rollout, noting the technical challenges and rigorous testing involved in ensuring successful service.

This launch marks a significant milestone for the Liga Ecuabet and reflects the increasing globalization of football and sports media. With Zapping’s availability, it is predicted that viewership from the Ecuadorian diaspora in Spain will flourish, further propelling the popularity of Ecuadorian football across international borders.
