Investment of US$20 million: the Brito family formed an alliance with a well-known meat group for a slaughterhouse and will hire 30% more employees
The Brito family, through their company Juramento, has partnered with the Gorina slaughterhouse to enhance meat production and export capabilities in Argentina with a US$20 million investment.
The Brito family, owners of the agro-livestock company Juramento, have made a significant investment exceeding US$20 million in collaboration with the Gorina family, owners of the Gorina slaughterhouse. This strategic partnership focuses on operating their joint facility, the Bermejo slaughterhouse located in Pichanal, Salta. The primary goal is to increase production quality and facilitate exports of premium Argentine beef to international markets.
With this investment, the Bermejo plant will transition from vacuum packing 30% of its meat production to 100% following the establishment of a new processing room and industrial improvements. These enhancements aim to elevate processing standards, which is crucial given the rising global demand for high-quality meat products. This initiative is not only expected to boost production capabilities but also to strengthen Argentina's position in the international meat market.
Additionally, the partnership is set to create jobs in the region, with a planned 30% increase in the workforce, bringing the total number of employees to 600. This move not only reflects a commitment to expanding business operations but also supports local employment and economic growth in Salta, where the Bermejo facility is located. Overall, this collaboration portrays a significant step towards enhancing the agricultural economic landscape in Argentina, particularly in the beef export sector.
