Designers of the Riga Philharmonic: Everything is proceeding as planned
The project for the Riga Philharmonic is moving forward without any signs of delay, according to one of its authors, Nauris Puntulis.
Nauris Puntulis, one of the authors of the law on the establishment of the Riga Philharmonic, stated in an interview with Latvijas Radio that there are no indications of any desire to slow down the project's progress. He noted that while the proposal deadline has been extended by a week at the request of involved lawyers, there are no grounds for concern. Puntulis emphasized the complexity of the issues at hand, including the reconstruction of the Congress House, a site of cultural and historical significance and part of the UNESCO heritage listing for the center of Riga. He highlighted that the legal intricacies surrounding the project require more work than would typically be the case, thus justifying the extension without implying a delay in the overall timeline.
