Luxury vehicle of 'hitman' seized in checkpoint in MG hours after he was found unconscious in PF cell
A luxury vehicle belonging to Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, allegedly a hitman, was seized during a police checkpoint shortly after he was found unconscious in a police cell.
In a dramatic turn of events, a luxury armored vehicle registered to Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, known as a 'hitman' for businessman Daniel Vorcaro, was seized by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) in Pouso Alegre, MG. The vehicle, a Land Rover, was stopped during a routine checkpoint on Wednesday night (April 4) while traveling from Belo Horizonte towards São Paulo. It was being driven by a couple who claimed it belonged to a friend.
The seizure comes just hours after Mourão's arrest earlier that day during the Compliance Zero Operation, which targeted organized crime and also led to the arrest of Vorcaro, the owner of Banco Master. Reports indicate that Mourão had been found unconscious in his cell after his arrest, raising questions about the treatment of detained individuals and possible implications surrounding his arrest. The luxury vehicle, valued at approximately R$ 700,000, was not found to carry any illicit items at the time of the seizure by the police.
This incident sheds light on the ongoing battle against organized crime in Brazil and the measures taken by law enforcement to apprehend individuals tied to such activities. The involvement of a luxury vehicle owned by a known criminal raises concerns about the wealth and resources that can be associated with organized crime in the country, prompting discussions about the effectiveness of current policing strategies and the challenges faced in combating these sophisticated networks.
