The European Union has activated its civil protection mechanism, deploying six evacuation flights aimed at repatriating EU citizens from the Middle East. Among those evacuated are members of a Swedish family who have been flown from Dubai, highlighting the EU's efforts to assist stranded travelers amid ongoing regional challenges. Additionally, the travel company Tui has reported that it successfully brought home 20 stranded Swedes, while efforts continue to return the remaining 40 travelers still in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

The situation remains dynamic as the European citizens seek to return home. Tui mentioned that while flights from Dubai to Europe are ongoing, the capacity is limited due to high demand. As noted by a representative from the company, the organization is making efforts to accommodate as many travelers as possible on available flights. Meanwhile, the travel company Apollo reported that they successfully managed to repatriate four of their Swedish clients during the day, further underlining the coordinated efforts among various travel agencies and the EU.
