After public criticism, SIF halts the publicity of the video 'A Language That Everyone Understands'
The Society Integration Foundation (SIF) has stopped the publicity of the video 'A Language That Everyone Understands' for further evaluation following public criticism.
The Society Integration Foundation (SIF) has decided to halt the publicity of their video 'A Language That Everyone Understands' due to negative feedback it received from the public. The video, produced as part of the project 'Step Towards,' aimed to encourage young people to reflect on mutual respect, empathy, and attitudes in various communication situations. It depicts a scene where a young Latvian confronts a Roma youth, asserting that the primary language should be Latvian, and includes the confrontational statement, 'speak our language or don't speak at all.' At the end of the video, a message appears that states: 'We do not choose our ethnicity. Kindness is a universal language - it does not require translation.'
