A buggy, VW Beetle, and water motorcycles burned down in a warehouse in the Kaunas region
A fire in a warehouse in the Kaunas region of Lithuania destroyed a racing buggy, a Volkswagen Beetle, and two water motorcycles.
On March 5, at around 2 a.m., a fire broke out in a 20x10 meter frame warehouse covered by film on Volungių Street in the Zapyškis municipality of the Kaunas region. When firefighters arrived, the building was engulfed in flames. As a result of the fire, a racing buggy, an unused Volkswagen Beetle, two water motorcycles, a trailer, and electric tools stored inside were completely destroyed, along with the warehouse’s film covering.
Initial reports indicate that the extent of the damage is still being evaluated. The fire prompted police to launch an investigation under Article 187, Paragraph 2 of the Lithuanian Criminal Code, which pertains to the destruction of property in a public hazard manner. Authorities are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.
