A special website for departure from the Middle East region has been launched
A new website has been launched to provide Lithuanian citizens with essential information for departing from the war-torn Middle East region.
The Lithuanian government has launched a dedicated website to assist its citizens in safely leaving the conflict-stricken Middle East. This site offers various services, including the ability to contact consultants, find answers to pressing questions, and book flight tickets or transportation. Additionally, there is a helpline available on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM Lithuanian time, through which citizens can inquire about flight tickets back to Lithuania or arrange for transportation services, available via phone or WhatsApp.
In response to the ongoing crisis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania announced that an evacuation flight is already planned for vulnerable citizens currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The exact timing of this flight has not yet been confirmed, but officials indicate it is scheduled to occur within the coming days. This proactive measure underscores the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of its nationals abroad amidst escalating tensions in the region.
As Lithuania ramps up its efforts to facilitate the repatriation of its citizens from the Middle East, this initiative will likely enhance the resources available to those seeking to return home. The government's actions reflect a broader concern for the well-being of its citizens amid international crises, reinforcing Lithuania's role in providing support and assistance during such challenging times.
