Ola's big announcement, bike prices reduced, now this much is the price

Ola has reduced the prices of its Roadster motorcycle range to boost sales after a decline in February, where it dropped out of the top-five bike brands in India.

Ola Electric has taken necessary steps to improve its declining sales by announcing a reduction in the prices of its Roadster motorcycle range. Following a substantial drop in sales figures in February, which resulted in the brand being pushed out of the top-five list, the company is now offering discounts on its bikes to regain market presence. In addition to price reductions, Ola is also introducing festive offers to attract customers during the upcoming holiday season.

In terms of the Indian electric two-wheeler market, Ola Electric's market share has decreased significantly from 24% in January of the previous year to just 4% currently. This drastic drop indicates that the competition in the electric vehicle sector is intensifying, and established players are capturing a larger market segment. The discounted prices of the Roadster motorcycles aim to incentivize customers and potentially reclaim market share for Ola Electric.

The Roadster X portfolio now features three battery configurations, with prices revised to make them more competitive. The newly adjusted prices see the 2.5kWh variant priced at ₹79,999, the 3.5kWh variant at ₹92,999, and the top variant with a 4.5kWh battery now costing ₹99,999, all on an ex-showroom basis. Additionally, Ola has updated the Roadster X+ model with more features and a larger battery, with revised pricing as well to align with its strategy to improve sales and market presence.
