A Unusually Large Discrepancy in Household Gas Prices
There is an unusual price discrepancy between gas suppliers in Estonia, Elenger and Alexela, due to market pressures from Iran that are affecting pricing strategy.
Estonia is currently experiencing an atypical divergence in household gas prices between two major suppliers, Elenger and Alexela. Traditionally, these companies have maintained similar pricing structures for their gas, but recent developments have led to greater-than-usual differences. The gas merchants attribute these discrepancies to the tense situation in Iran, which complicates future price forecasts and market stability. As it stands, Alexela is offering a fixed price of 0.669 euros per cubic meter starting in March, while Elenger's price is set at 0.598 euros per cubic meter. For April, Alexela's price drops to 0.550 euros per cubic meter, while Elenger maintains its March price level.
