On Wednesday, the Kogi State Ministry of Water Resources inaugurated the bid opening for selecting consultants for critical water projects throughout the state. The event took place in Lokoja, attracting officials from government agencies, civil society representatives, and representatives from various consulting firms. This step is an essential part of the state's efforts to enhance water supply systems, which have been prioritized by the current administration.

Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk, emphasized that the bidding process aligns with the administration's commitment to transparency and accountability. He stated that the selection will be merit-based and competitive, ensuring that only qualified consultants are chosen to oversee the upcoming projects.
