Anambra set for Soludo’s swearing-in, approves ₦604m for key projects
The Anambra State Government has approved ₦604 million for key infrastructure projects and planned swearing-in events for Governor Soludo.
The Anambra State Government has recently approved contracts worth ₦604 million to facilitate road and other infrastructure projects aimed at promoting social cohesion and economic growth within the state. This funding is part of an effort to improve citizens' lives and drive essential development across Anambra. The decision was announced during the state’s second Executive Council meeting in 2026, which took place in Awka on March 2.
In addition to approving infrastructure projects, the Anambra government is preparing for the swearing-in of Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for a second term, alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim. Three key events have been scheduled for this occasion, including an interdenominational service on March 15, the swearing-in ceremony on March 17, and a thanksgiving service on March 22. The intention behind these events is to ensure a seamless transition and to celebrate the success of the outgoing administration while paving the way for new initiatives.
The approval of such a significant budget for infrastructure indicates the state government's commitment to enhancing its developmental agenda and addressing the needs of its citizens. With these initiatives, the Soludo administration is signaling its focus on sustainable growth and improved living standards, which can foster greater community engagement and trust in government. The forthcoming events are expected to be well-attended as they serve not only as a formal transition of power but also as a celebration of the state's progress under Soludo's leadership.
