In a significant operation against organized crime, law enforcement in Northern Minas Gerais, Brazil, seized three firearms, jewelry valued at R$ 413,000, and arrested four individuals. This operation, dubbed Operation Bulldog, was executed by the Special Group for Fighting Organized Crime (Gaeco) of the Minas Gerais Public Ministry (MPMG) in collaboration with the Military Police. The initiative highlights ongoing efforts to dismantle illegal arms trafficking and associated criminal activities within the region.
The operation targeted a group suspected of engaging in the illegal trade of firearms and associated offenses, including the possession of altered or unregistered weapons. In total, two prosecutors and 66 police officers executed 15 search and seizure warrants, emphasizing the extent of the law enforcementβs commitment to combating organized crime in the area. The seizure included not only firearms but also a significant cache of ammunition and expensive jewelry, indicative of the illegal activities being pursued by the group.
