Ambassador of UAE reveals the real situation: we are working for days without rest
The UAE ambassador reported continuous work amidst recent Iranian missile and drone attacks, stating that staff are safe and operations continue despite the ongoing threats.
The UAE ambassador in Abu Dhabi discussed the ongoing critical situation following an increase in Iranian missile and drone attacks on the UAE. After the strikes by Israel and the US on Saturday, the embassy switched to an emergency mode, with heightened threats reported from Iran throughout the week. The ambassador indicated that work has been ongoing nearly around the clock, regardless of the security situation, highlighting the commitment of the embassy staff to their duties amid the chaos.
On Wednesday alone, the UAE's defense forces claimed to have intercepted three Iranian ballistic missiles and detected 129 drones, most of which were neutralized; a few, however, did land on Emirati territory. Although these attacks posed risks nearby, the ambassador reassured that there had been no direct hits on the embassy premises, emphasizing the resilience of the capitalโs air defense capabilities.
The embassy staff continues to operate, maintaining their functions despite the alarming circumstances surrounding them. The ambassador's remarks reflect not only the urgency of their diplomatic mission but also the strength of the UAE's defense mechanisms in response to external threats, underscoring the intensity of the current geopolitical tensions in the region.
