In a recent meeting highlighted in a press release, Lithuanian Prime Minister I. Ruginienė expressed her admiration for the rally racers who participated in the Dakar Rally. She noted their determination and calmness, which stemmed from the countless hours spent preparing for the event. These qualities ultimately contributed to their impressive results, marking a significant achievement in the history of Lithuanian motorsport.
The Prime Minister awarded cash bonuses totaling 5,920 euros, distributed as 80 basic social allowances, to rally racers Rokas Baciuška, Karolis Raišys, and Vaidotas Žala for securing first places in their respective categories. This reward not only recognizes their individual excellence but also represents a proud moment for Lithuania in the international rallying community.
Moreover, other notable racers such as Ernestas Česokas, Nerimantas Jucius, Dovydas Karka, and Saulius Klevinskas were honored with letters of gratitude for their contributions to enhancing Lithuania's reputation in sports.
