Sisters Charged with Attempted Murder of Their Father
Two sisters are facing charges for the attempted murder of their father after violently assaulting him over a dispute related to inheritance.
In early November of last year, two sisters allegedly assaulted their father in a violent encounter that has now led to attempted murder charges. Prosecutors claim the sisters forcibly entered their father's home, restrained him, and obstructed his breathing. While he lay on the ground, they reportedly kicked and struck him in the head with a blunt object, resulting in significant injuries including a fractured zygomatic bone, facial lacerations, and loss of consciousness due to the assault.
A possible motive for the brutal attack appears to be linked to an inheritance dispute stemming from a will where one of the man's grandchildren is named as the primary heir. The sisters have been in custody since early December following their arrest, with the younger sibling attempting to appeal her detention all the way to the Supreme Court, only to be denied.
The older sister's attorney has publicly defended her, stating that she denies the allegations as presented by the prosecutor, suggesting that there may be more complexity to the incident than initially suggested. As the case unfolds, it raises significant questions about familial disputes over inheritance and the extent to which such disagreements can escalate into violence.
