The Lithuanian port of Jurbarkas is taking proactive measures to assess the ice situation and water levels in light of recent severe winter conditions, which have raised concerns about flooding. The Deputy Minister of Transport, Dovilė Sujetaitė, emphasized the importance of being prepared for nature-related challenges as they work towards creating a modern river cargo port in the area. The monitoring system installed at the port is already beginning to capture critical data needed for this initiative.
