Big change at Linnanmäki – Entrance fee

Linnanmäki amusement park in Finland will introduce a new entrance fee in 2026, along with various ticket types, to enhance visitor experience.

Starting in 2026, the Linnanmäki amusement park in Finland will change its access policy by introducing an entrance fee. This new fee structure includes a 5-euro 'Aluehupi' ticket that grants access to the amusement area and certain previously free rides. Visitors will have the option to enter using the new Aluehupi ticket or continue purchasing the traditional ride wristbands and individual ride tickets. Children under three can enter for free.

The park's management aims to cater to diverse visitor preferences, acknowledging that guests wish to enjoy their time at Linnanmäki in various ways, whether through thrilling rides or simply soaking in the ambiance and entertainment on offer. Satu Järvelä, the park's CEO, indicated that this strategic move is likely to encourage repeat visits throughout the season as guests will be drawn by different reasons beyond just the rides that the amusement park provides.

The Linnanmäki amusement park has been a significant entertainment venue in Finland, and this development reflects a broader trend among amusement parks worldwide to adapt their offerings and pricing structures to meet changing consumer demands. The introduction of the entrance fee with a focus on diversified visitor experiences could serve as a model for other parks considering similar changes.
