Linnanmäki Amusement Park Will No Longer Allow Free Entry

Starting in the upcoming season, free entry to Linnanmäki Amusement Park in Helsinki will no longer be permitted; visitors will need to purchase a ticket or wristband.

Linnanmäki Amusement Park in Helsinki will implement a new entry policy starting in the upcoming season, requiring guests to purchase a wristband, ride ticket, or a five-euro entrance ticket to access the amusement area. This marks a significant change from the past when patrons could enter the park for free and enjoy various free rides aimed at young children. Now, children under three years old will still be allowed entry without a ticket.

According to the announcement from Linnanmäki, this policy change is intended to increase the variety of experiences and programming offered to visitors who want to enjoy activities beyond just rides. The park plans to introduce 34 new ticket sales and collection machines at the main entrance to streamline the ticketing process. This modernization aims to enhance visitor experience by providing a wider array of activities and entertainment options within the amusement park.

Linnanmäki is set to open for the new season on April 30, 2026, amid expectations that these changes will foster a more engaging environment for families and other visitors. While this move may raise concerns among long-time patrons about the loss of free access, the park management is optimistic that the enhanced offerings will draw more visitors and improve the overall enjoyment of the park's attractions.
