The Democratic Party of Korea has officially nominated Park Chan-dae as its sole candidate for the Incheon mayoralty in the upcoming June 3 local elections. This decision follows the party's previous nomination of former Blue House Chief of Staff Woo Sang-ho as the candidate for the Gangwon governor position, highlighting the party's aggressive campaign strategies in key regions. At the announcement event, Kim Yi-soo, head of the party's nomination management committee, emphasized Park's importance as a candidate, while party leader Jeong Cheong-rae praised Park for his significant role during the impeachment of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, referring to him as a key figure in the partyβs efforts for regime change.
